Description:
Dating from 1856, this is Glasgow's oldest, most enduring and celebrated restaurant. Blessed with a relaxed atmosphere and unique interior of oak panelling, stained glass, fresh colours and the most wonderful mahogany and marble bar.
The Buttery lounge bar is perfect for afternoon coffee, drinks and early evening cocktails with canapés. Master Chef Willie Deans is passionate about cooking. The cuisine excites the senses, is full flavoured without pretension and delicious beyond expectation. The complimenting service is warm and friendly, foreseeing everything and forgetting nothing.
The Buttery Below is a cosy private suite available for group bookings of up to 25-30 people.
Indicative menu: open ravioli of char- grilled tamarind soaked langoustine with a tomato and caper chutney and cider bisque; confit shank of perthshire lamb pressed between potato layers with a sun blush tomato and caramelised lemon salad and winter vegetable casserole.
