As such, its foremost aim is to provide a programme of arts events which reflects the cultural aspirations and interests of the local Glasgow community. This is an acknowledgement by the Arches of the need to be vital and relevant to the city that it serves. At the same time, Glasgow is a European city with strong international ties and interests. The Arches aims to mirror the city’s cosmopolitan aspirations as well as forging new international links and developing new types of cultural activity. Getting There: The main entrance for all arts events, the Cafe Bar and Box Office is at 253 Argyle Street underneath Heilanman's Umbrella at the Central Station south entrance. The entrance to club events and large gigs is still at 30 Midland Street.
Disability Info: Accessible toilets are available. There is room for up to six wheelchair users in the theatre - we offer free tickets to assistants for people with impairments to all Arches art events . The Arches was able to buy a raised platform for people in wheelchairs due to the generous funding of the ADAPT Trust, Scottish Community Foundation, Clydesdale Bank, John Lewis Charity Committee and Russell Trust.
